Wayside Food Pantry
Wayside is a non-profit effort with ecumenical roots that was established in 1986 to serve hot meals 3 nights a week by a group of committed area churches. Today, volunteers help WAYSIDE serve Supplemental Community Meals at multiple “host serving sites” located at the heart of impoverished neighborhoods. Wayside’s new Supplemental Community Meals approach of addressing hunger relief focuses on meeting the needs of community members not reached by existing programs.

The Root Cellar
The Root Cellar is an interdenominational Christian mission with a goal of uniting churches in the common cause of satisfying the physical and spiritual needs of inner-city youth and their families. Whether touching the individual child or adult through our daily mentoring and enrichment programs, free medical clinic, or food and clothing distribution, we remain committed to extending a helping hand to those in need while proclaiming the truth of Christ in love. The Root Cellar currently serves over 125 families per week, providing thousands of hours of programming with volunteer manpower annually. Our Christmas Angel Tree program provides for 400 children each year, and at Thanksgiving, we distributed almost 400 food baskets.

Preble Street
There are many ways to describe Preble Street: drop-in centers, soup kitchens, food pantry, shelters, social work services, supported housing. These descriptions only tell part of the story of who we are, though. Preble Street exists to provide accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty; and to advocate for solutions to these problems.

Centro Cristiano Cultural de Guatemala
CCCG was founded in 1982 by David Alvarez with the purpose of reaching children and families throughout Guatemala with the love of Jesus. They achieve these through a holistic approach to ministry ranging from feeding programs to life skills and cleanliness training to job preparation programs in order to rescue kids from physical and substance abuse, gang involvement, and extreme poverty and introduce them to the love of Jesus. CCCG operates in Guatemala City, Rio Dulce, & Monterrico, and receives medical, dental, and work teams from the US, Canada, & Europe, all with the express purpose of seeing the next generation of Guatemalans grow up knowing the love of Jesus Christ.
